Paki (slur) "Paki" is a racial slur directed towards Pakistanis, chiefly in the United Kingdom. == Etymology == "Paki" is derived from the exonym ''Pakistan(i)'', which literally means "Land of the Pure" in the Urdu and Persian languages. Unlike other ''-stan''-countries, where the first part of the name typically refers to the indigenous people (e.g. the Tajiks of Tajikistan, Turkmens of Turkmenistan, Afghans of Afghanistan), ''Pak'' is a Persian and Pashto word meaning "pure". There was no "Pak" or "Paki" ethnic group prior to the creation of the state.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Monier-Williams Sanskrit Dictionary )〕
